Philosophy

Ilkari is  Pitjantjatjara for "clear sky"

Our goal is to preserve and restore the natural environment.  Ilkari consists of people who are interested in doing something practical and positive to achieve a healthy, sustainable and harmonious future for the Earth and all its inhabitants. There are students and staff of Flinders University and Flinders Medical Centre, along with their children, husbands, wives, friends, mothers and fathers.

Ilkari thinks globaly and acts locally

We decided to start at home and transform Flinders into an environmental role model which could be followed by other universities, hospitals, businesses, institutions and the community in general. This process is called Greenprint Flinders.

We want to:-

• see all our current and future projects succeed.
• provide the means by which people can achieve their environmental goals.
• see Flinders become a busy hive of positive social and environmental change.
